First real air at 11 years old!!!!
We have spent 90 hours on our lake since the end of July with our neighbors son Chenguang ..all of us learning to wake surf at the same time.
He was the first to do a 360!
Thats awesome!! You should have her move her rear foot all the way back to the kickpad so she doesnt have to work that legg so hard, and move her toes on the front foot closer to the inside rail of the board.. It will make everything easier!!

Lindsey here (the surfer) tnks for the tip i'll do it next time . do u know if that will help me get back because i feel like when i come forward to the swim dock i cant get farther back?
Dad here: Lindsey feels like she's too close to the swim platform and wants to know if that tip will help her move back
Put and hold more weight on your rear foot. If you start moving forward use a light yet fast kick downward on your rear foot.
My 11 year old nailed her first surf last night. She's been working hard and wants that Phase 5 !
Video here. Turn up the volume

She even edited the video herself ![]()

Just curious if you have chosen your Phase 5 winner for August. My 6 year old, Charlie, is very excited about the opportunity and asks me every day who won.
Thanks,
Christy Voso ( and Charlie)
We havnt selected a winner as of yet. We have a new addition to the Towanza wakesurf family and have been a bit busy. We will choose a winner asap!
Nick is 8 years old and loves to be on the water. This summer he has been skiing and wakeboarding and recently started wakesurfing. The only problem is the board is too big for him. He's been able to get up on his belly, and then transition to his feet, but it would sure be a lot easier if he had a board that fit him.
Check out the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwebXQkIAAU
He's not ropeless (yet), but he is fearless!!! I think a kiddo sized Phase Five is the missing link. But, shhhhh, don't tell his momma.
Shane it's Lake Martin in Alabama.. 44,000 acres of water to ride..
Glad you like the pics, thank you again for the board! As requested it is getting used by all the kids around and more to come!

The water looks nice man!! I thought it was a lake i have made it up toa couple of times this season called Beaver Lake AR. I love that crystal clear water!!
Charlie is 6 years old and started surfing with Mom, and is now trying it on her own. The boards are so big, she starts like a kneeboard and then stands up on it.....check it out... She is very determined and wants to be a "Surfer Girl"
Here's a few more kids diggin the scamp.. thanks again.. the kids LOVE it!

All these picturesd are soo awesome!! Warlock what lake is that it looks familiar?
These are a few pics of my crew. Austin is 6, Ainsley is 5, and Asher is 1. They love to be on the water. Ainsley is the natural born surfer. Austin is more of a wakeboarder but also likes surfing and Asher is just happy to be on any board. Ainsley competed in the Wake the Desert tournament as the youngest rider and won Crowd Favorite in the surf division and Austin, the 2nd youngest rider, competed in the Jr Novice division, made it to finals, and won the Crowd Favorite award. These kids really shred! Ainsley is now riding with no rope but is still working on getting up by herself. That 5'6' board is too hard for her to force down by herself. We teach everyone's kids to surf and always have a few extra kids on the boat. That's what it's all about.....the kids. We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to teach our children the culture of wakesurfing/ wakeboarding. As you can imagine, these kids have a ton of energy and can really burn through the gas. Winning a board that could fit all of these little ones would be awesome! Thanks and be blessed.
awww......didn't realize y'all posted the pics from the drew danielo contest. Thought you wanted me to use them over here for this one. Sorry! I'll get some different one's up.
Lots of pics submitted in the Drew Danielo Contest! Hopefully more will come for the next Phase 5 Scamp Kids Contest!
Check out some of the Drew Danielo Pro Contest Pics!

Thats cool man!! Sorry about the pink traction only option. The board looks sick tho!!
MANY THANKS TO THE FINE FOLKS AT TOWANZA! just got the scamp in and took ben out for a ride. he loved it! btw, he weights a little over 80lb, the scamp is much shorter than his LF custom 4'2''. i thought it may be a little small... i was very wrong... he killed it. i drove and someone shot my cam on auto.. sorry the pics are not any cleaner..

Maddie got her first lip slide, we were very proud.
My son won the may scamp and at first it was very slippery buut he has finally got the hang of it now.
here is a link to the videos; http://www.youtube.com/user/drdirt#p/u/8/HC3jxkPw-wI
I forgot to give a huge thanks to Towanza again for all of their help and the new board...great people who are here to help
Here is a pic of me and my son surfing tandem. He has tried to get up several time on our Squirt but it just has too much bouance to it. I have been looking all over for a Kids surfer and he is ready to get out there on him own. We have taught several olders kids to surf and he is ready to dich the kneeboard and start surfing.
Ben Watts first day in the water this season early March, my feet were blue when I got out of the water that day

my 5 yr old daughter and i playing around

Here some pics from me and my twin 6 year olds doing some tandem surfing...they are getting braver...lol.
i wish i had my camera out yesterday for the sess behind the AXIS... ben and parker rode really well.
Remember folks the more pictures and video you send in the better your chances will be. Multiple pics of different children is a plus!!
I'm Ken, Campbell's dad. Campbell is 11 and has been riding for about 6 months and it's the best!
I have attached a video of him riding behind our MB Sport B52V Wide Body. We are looking for a board to take him to the next level. Any thoughts? Enjoy the video.

I work with a ton of kids here on Lake Martin. I"m lucky enough to have a buddy who's son is a phenom... he won worlds on a wakeboard, shreds on a wakeskate and can kill it on a wakesurfer.. he's 11 and i've seen him hit at least 5 360s in a run.. he's working on shuvs..

Cman444 july entry post update,
I just got second in my first wakesurf contest the Barrel Boss!!
I really want to win the september competion and need a board I can advance on. I'm working on 3's and airs but I need a different board.
Our camera isn't connecting to the computer so I cant show you any video but my board dosn't have enough pop to get big air, and also to big of a fin for me to learn a 3 on.
I'm really hoping I can this board so I can advance in wakesurfing!
Stoked Dad Update: Took my son (above) out again Thursday night, and my he went ropeless several times!!! He is still mastering the art of controlling the speed, but he can get it in the pocket, get balanced, and drop the rope and ride. He can get it faster and slower, but has a hard time not going too fast or slowing down too much. We will be working on that this week. Not sure who is more excited, him or I.
dude that 's awesome.. so fun teaching them to ride.. i got my daughter (5) up on a wakeboard, she only surfs with me on the board right now. man it's been forever, what since expo '08.. hope to catch up w/ ya before too long...

Hey,
My name is Campbell Erickson and I am 11 years old, I own Lakesurfers.com a wakesurf company focused on kids.
My Dad showed me how to wakesurf, and my goal is to teach every kid that comes out on the boat with us how to wakesurf.
So many kids are going to be riding this board you wont even believe it!
Here are a couple pictures of me.
Does it get any better than watching them learn how to ride?
Not at all man!!!!
Here is my July submission of my 8 year old giving it a shot. He can't go ropeless yet, but he is working on it and wants to surf everytime we put the boat in.

Tarah is finally surfing on her own. She been surfing with her papa and Uncle TJ since 2003, but was to scared to go out on her own! Well this year is her year! My baby is growing up! But we now have created a monster. Always wanting to go out and wants to be the first to go. Hopefully me and uncle TJ can get her riding goofy like us

How do you post pictures?
this is sophias wakesurfing video from 2009. she started surfing with the help of her dad. she used to start out laying on her belly, getting on her knees then jumping to her feet (her hyperlite broadcast made that easy.) but this past weekend she learned to get in the water rest her feet on top of the board and get up like every other wakesurfer. she still needs help to tip the board in the water because a 5'6" board is way too big for a 5 year old.

this is sophias podium shot, she got second place in wake9's tandem division
BUT ALSO CHECK OUT HER VIDEO!
THANKS TOWANZA! The board came and it is sweet! Riley is so pumped (that's Beast were his exact words). We opened it last night and he was grinning ear to ear. He wanted me to play hooky today so he could test it but I couldn't we will give it a run tomorrow and post the video. In the meantime here is a picture from last night with his proud mom and little sister. Thanks again guys and good luck to Junes contestants.
Thanks again Towanza you guys rock. Oh and did i mention it matches the boat.

Thats an awesome looking board!! Congradulations!
