Shred Stixx Elevation vs Inland Surfer Sweet Spot...is this even a fair comparison?
So I've been fighting this urge to sell my Sweet Spot after getting a custom Shred Stixx Elevation this year...I guess my biggest complaint about the Sweet Spot is it's ability to duck-dive and not recover...essentially ending your run, whereas the Elevation has a stub nose that can recover...plus it just seems so much more playful than the Sweet Spot, even with 4 speed fins!
Here's a video from last month on the Elevation...you'll see the attempted 360 at the end ;) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGGGRw5-CQs
Has anyone been in this same situation? I know Duffy's riding the same Elevation (nice color choice too!) along with some of the other crew but interested to hear if I should experiment more with the fin setup...or just give in and put the Sweet Spot up for sale?
For those riding the Elevation, I'm having trouble getting the thing to spin past 3/4...yet I see some of Duffy's crew making the 3's look so easy and it appears all 4 fins are in. I'm basically at the top level of those that I ride with, so it's tough for me to keep pushing without someone giving me some competition!
I've been riding the Sweet Spot with 2 speed fins on the outside and 2 trick fins on the inside...any suggestion? I was thinking to try all 4 speed fins (to get some speed and air) but wondering if that will hurt the ability to spin?

Thats awesome! You wont regret it!!
Hi Greg. I have the Sweet Spot too, and I love it! But, I too have been having problems with it nose-diving on a 360. I can spin a 360 with ease on my Endless Break Fiddy, but it only has two fins. If you are looking for a quad fin with speed and big airs, and easy 360's, hands down go with the new Flyboy Wakesurf board. It is super fast, super stable, and will pop big air for a rider as good as you. Hope my opinion helps!
Have only been wakesurfing for two seasons now, and am looking for a surf type design board that can do tricks like my skim board, but not looking to spend 800 bucks on a board. So do you guys recommend the sweet spot.
Yes I do man. The sweet spot will be fine for you until you are ready to spend 800 on a board. Its great for spins and is very agressive depending on what fin variations you use.
Im going to have to go with Monnie. I was blown away the first hit i took on a Flyboy man! Its the absolute most technologically advanced board ive ever been on and ive been riding every board the big 4 offers for a couple of years. The fastest board i have ever been on hands down. The bottom deck is textured so you automaticly get more release off of the water for huge aerials. Absolutely no comparisons out there for a high end board..
